Can't seem to get context menu to show up in W10 for file explorer. Worked and works (laptop) fine on Win 7 and all my settings are the same.
Tried a bunch of things. Working in admin mode, non-admin mode, adjusted context menu folder settings so all possible ones are set to "show this item", restarted computer, etc.
Fix?

Re: context menu not in windows 10
Yup (I edited my 1st post to reflect)
FWIW normally I'm pretty good at figuring this stuff out but this one has me stumped. Especially since I've used Everything on multiple computers for years.
Re: context menu not in windows 10
What is shown in your registry under:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Search Everything...
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Search Everything...
Re: context menu not in windows 10
I don't have that folder under xxx\shell\
It has six sub folders (explore, open, opennewprocess, opennewtab, opennewwindow, pintohome) but no search everything. Same if I am logged in as admin or not.
Re: context menu not in windows 10
At least that explains why there is no context menu entry
Could you please try the following?
Could you please try the following?
- In Everything, go to Menu => Tools => Options => General
- Uncheck Show Search Everything folder context menu item
- Press the Apply button
- Accept the User Account Control prompt (apply credentials if asked for)
- In Everything, go to Menu => Tools => Options => General
- Check Show Search Everything folder context menu item
- Press the Apply button

- Check the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\ settings for the presence of the Search Everything key.
- Check if the Search Everything context menu entry shows up, for example in Explorer.

Ok thanks, this worked great to get search everything to show up in explorer!
