No need to answer if this had been discussed, just can't seem to find....
Why Everything-searcher only sticks to filenames? After all the filenames have been filtered, there might be a query to dates or even insides of these files. The massive search still is done by "indexing", but on about 2000 files left, it won't be so slow. And anyway, it could be hinted to users, so that "data query is done last, and avoid complicated queries, it's slow".
Sometimes a filename just can't give a needed detalization. And to get to the particular find, 2000 files need to get sorted several times.
(and anyway it's beyond me why create / change date aren't in the file system journal and not reachable as fast as name / ext ) ㋡
