Feature applications/benefits:
[*] Overview of the locations of my search results
[*] Quickly seeing whether all search results are within one folder/drive/path or multiple
[*] Refining search by drive path, quicker than current (since all 'empty' locations are hidden)
I often find myself wanting an overview of the locations of my search results.
I usually do this by sorting the results by path and paging up/down, but I will often miss some locations. A common example might be searching for 'lib' or 'ext:py' and getting thousands of results within Program Files, but what I'm really interested in is one or two files in other locations.
Being able to quickly see the locations in the folder sidebar would then mean I could refine my search results easily & visually by selecting the folders of interest.
I'm reminded of the Overview pane from FreeFileSync in how it dynamically updates based on files to sync - but obviously it has a lot of info that wouldn't be suitable for Everything (file sizes, % of total):
Folder Sidebar: Add 'Filter by Results' checkbox to filter the TreeView
