there may be a issue that the new filelist does not take effect when I rebuild it with a same filelist name.
details:
I create a filelist of my portable disk with its name--HD1.efu.
However when I update the files in the HD1,and rebuild the filelist (same name as before--HD1.efu),I can not find the new updated file in "Everything" .
I try to restart the application ,delete the filelist and import then, but it in vain.
Moreover when I restart my computer it's OK .
Is there any way to solve the issue??
sorry for my bad english~
when & how does new filelist take effect

How are you doing that?
Select All, Remove, followed by Add Folder...?
> rebuild the filelist
Is that Options | Indexes | Force Rebuild?
(Or are you skipping that part?)
If so, that should cause Everything to reread the File List, updating the Everything .db (rather then the .efu).
At that point the changes made to the File List should be recognized by Everything.

Strange.

Re: when & how does new filelist take effect
Update files in theprotable disk like add new files or delete files ,then add the root path to the filelist editor in order to make the lastest filelist .Save the filelist and replace the old one (same filelist name) ------rebuild filelisttherube wrote:> when I update the files in the HD1

In the Options -File Lists ,.efu files linked to the dialog box is changed although same name .However Everything can not index the new added files in the changed filelist.
Even delete the link in the File Lists box then add , no use!
Options | Indexes | Force Rebuild I tried ,but in vain.
