Indexing Shadow copies

Post by harryray2 »

There doesn't seem to be a way of doing this:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10267

Is it feasible to be able to index the files in shadow copy?

Shadow copies are dynamic and how should Everything know which one to index.
Also after some more shadow copies are made the oldest ones will be removed automatically.
In the thread you linked I showed you the way to index a show copy with Everything.
This works perfect and is under your control.

Maybe shadow copy is the wrong term....I want to search the files that have been backed up by my system restore points.

I currently have 5 restore points from different dates and these can be seen and extracted by nirsoft.

Restore points are Shadow copies.
Run vssadmin list shadows /for=C:\
and you will see your restore points.
