How to make a vertical bar the default split instead of ";"

How to make a vertical bar the default split instead of ";"

I tried paste to the list of file names from advanced search and I can only do vertical bar when i paste directly to the everything search bar

I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to do.
Could you please give an example.



Everything doesn't have a way to change the file list delimiter to |

From the Advanced Search, scroll down to Search for a list of filenames.

Click the ... to the right

Select all the filenames
Right click the selection and click Copy (Ctrl + C)
This will copy all your filenames with each filename on its own line.
Close the list editor.
Close the Advanced Search.

You can paste this multi-line text into the main Everything search box.
Multi-line text is converted to a | delimited search list.

I meant when I copy multi lines from text file to everything search bar it does create splits automatically ;

I was wondering if possible to be get a virtcal bar instead so i can get better results

What version of Everything are you using?
Here -- version 1.5.0.1391a -- the list of filenames gets pasted as <<first>|<second>>

Tested with filenamesyntax: c:\folder\name.txt as well as name.txt.
