Too many findings

Hi,
I am new here and novice with the program. I like it very much, it is quick and very good. But I have a little problem:
When the program finds what I'm looking for, it also shows me another 1,300,000 hits that don't disappear. When I close the program and open it again, those hits are still there. I deleted the search history, but it doesn't help. How can I fix this?
I have already uninstalled the program and restarted the computer, but it doesn't help.

Everything shows ALL the files on your computer when the search is empty.

To hide results when the search is empty:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Results tab on the left.
• Check Hide results when the search is empty.
• Click OK.

To exclude system files:

• In Everything, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Exclude tab on the left.
• Check Exclude system files and folders.
  
• Click Add folder....
• Type in C:\Windows and press OK.
  
• Click OK.
