can't enter the debug mode

I follow this Instructions http://www.voidtools.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1713

but still can't enter debug mode

when pressing Ctrl + ~ ,nothing happened

when I add "-debug" at the everything lnk at my desktop,then open the lnk,and found open everything as usual

when I Edit my Everything.ini with debug=1,still as usual.

Try launching Everything in debug mode from a command prompt, is any debug text shown in the command prompt?

My launching Everything is start everything on system startup

How do I launch everything from a command prompt?

• Please make sure Everything is not running.
• From the Start menu, click Run
• Type in cmd and press enter.
• Navigate to the Everything directory by entering the following command:

  Code: Select all

  cd "C:\program files\Everything"

• Enter the following command to start Everything in debug mode:

  Code: Select all

  Everything.exe -debug

Since we're here (& I've been wanting to mention too), I'll just note that I've had trouble using the shortcut too, pretty sure both on XP & Win7.

XP as "regular user" (i.e. not limited), Win7, not really sure, but believe I run as an Admin.

Service runs all the time, though I start the UI manually from a shortcut.

Win7, just opened it with Ctrl + ~, but couldn't close it & when closed with the X, Everything too closed, not just the debug window.

I will note that the Everything window, rather then the Console window, needs to have the focus in order for Ctrl+` to close Console.
