Everything "Search Bar Font Size" small

XP User with fully updated "Search Everything"

The Everything Search Bar is too small to read. For Windows 7, holding ctrl+ scroll up/down would increase or decrease the search bar size. For Windows XP. The Search bar remains the same size when holding ctrl + scroll up/down (font of search results increases decreases).

Is there a fix for this or an older Everything I should be downloading that has this fix?

Exit Everything

Edit everything.ini (with a text editor)
Search for 'search_edit_font_size='
Set a size, say '17', as its value

Start Everything


(For whatever reason, that's the only way I see to do it - even in Win7 ?)

Ctrl++ Ctrl+- will resize the result list (font size), but you must use the keyboard + & - rather then the numeric keys + & - , or the mouse scrollwheel.

Thank you very much for your reply and your help. Unfortunately, the font size of the Search Bar Remained. I did go to the .ini file and changed the search_edit font size to different sizes (20, 30, 40) along with the other fon't size changes, but the size still remained the same.

As far as Windows 7, it works perfectly fine, but not windows XP.

Are you sure you've got the "correct" Everything.ini?

Does a search for 'Everything <space> .ini' turn up anything different?

Working here on my end, XP.

Thank you very much for your help. I un-installed it, re-installed Everything and changed the font (via your suggestion) and it worked.
