Folder Size Incorrect, 2x actual
Directory size shows as exactly 2x actual size.
(Time differs by 1 hour, DST or something like that, I suppose. Not sure whether Everything is correct or my file manager, in that regard.)
Win7 x64
Everything 8.69b
Folder Size Incorrect, 2x actual
Re: Folder Size Incorrect, 2x actual
Does a force rebuild fix the folder size, or does it still show 2x?
Re: Folder Size Incorrect, 2x actual
Most likely a monitoring issue... I'm looking into it..Rebuild fixed it.
Is it just the c:\wlib\mozilla\users folder? or every single folder indexed?Actually every directory shows 2x its size.
Re: Folder Size Incorrect, 2x actual
On XP at the moment. Everything 8.67b.Is it just the c:\wlib\mozilla\users folder? or every single folder indexed?
Here, everything I'm looking at looks OK.
Win7 I'll try to check this evening (or tomorrow).
(But since I've done the Rebuild... ?)
(As far as the 1-hour time diff, that is also here on XP, & I believe the 1-hour diff will only apply on times < midnight, or maybe its on times > noon... thinking the latter. And that might change once times change again?)
(Didn't realize, but what, Everything is doing a natural sort on numbers?)
Re: Folder Size Incorrect, 2x actual
Did you notice if it was all folders before you reindexed? Doesn't matter if you didn't.(But since I've done the Rebuild... ?)
Is C:\wlib\mozilla\users a NTFS index?
Was any of these folders or files recently renamed/moved/copied/modified?
Re: Folder Size Incorrect, 2x actual
Well it was (at least) all subdirectories within that one particular 'storage' directory.Did you notice if it was all folders before you reindexed?
(Otherwise, not sure.)
Yes, all are NTFS.
The one particular directory... about the most I can say, is that it was last "modified" ~4-2-17, possibly created ~2-26-17. Probably not copied, but created new.
I've checked other 'storage' directories (only because Everything was sitting there displaying them) & they (now, the ones I looked at) are all displaying the directory sizes as expected.
Very possible, likely that many of these directories were originally indexed under much older versions of Everything, & unless somewhere along the line something caused a Rebuild or one was manually done (which I don't recall having done except for the other day)...
Various drives, dates, sizes. The assortment of ones I looked at, (now) show correctly.
