Search method

Post by fc622000 »

I started using Everything some time ago, but I still have some doubts about the research methods. Let me give you the following example:
I have a list of documents named as follows. If I search in Everything for the words "Number", it will find the whole list, but if I search for "Titles Number" or just "Titles", Everything doesn't give me any results.
Why? How do I get Everything to find me all the items in the list if I'm looking for "Titles Number" or "Titles"?

Do you have any search options checked under the Search menu?
-If so, please uncheck them. (Match Whole Words might have accidentally been checked Ctrl + B)

_ is considered alpha-numeric (or a WORD character) by Everything 1.4 (this will most likely change for Everything 1.5 and later versions)

You can set your default search options from Tools -> Options -> Home.
