Auto close on launch

I use this lovely program as a launcher, files and apps. Works awesome!
However, I would like an option that would tell Everything to close after a search result item is "launched".
This way it would behave like other launchers and go quietly away after launch is successful.
As it is now I have to switch back to Everything and close it manually.
Maybe a modifier key to close on launch??....

You can make "Everything" close automatically after executing an item with Everything 1.2.1.371.

To automatically close the search window after executing an item with "Everything" 1.2.1.371:

• Exit Everything
• Open your Everything.ini file in your "Everything" installation folder.
• Add the following line to the end of the ini file:

  Code: Select all

  close_window_on_execute=1

• Save changes and restart "Everything".

With the latest alpha version of "Everything" you can change the ENTER key to execute an item and close "Everything".

OR

To automatically close the search window after executing an item with "Everything" alpha version:

• In "Everything", from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the View tab.
• From the Advance settings, from the General folder, check Close on execute.
• Click OK.
