Is it possible to keep the sort when switching filters

I know about the option always_keep_sort but it sometimes gives me problems(everything freeze for a while depending on the filter...which is normal).
When I search for something and then click on some column to sort the files\folders,when I switch the fiter,everything reset the sort order back to name...I want to keep the sort order but only when switching filters.

It just takes one click to resort them again immediately but if there is already existing way in everything,why should I.

I am considering an option to 'keep the same sort' when the number of results is less than some threshold (say 10000).

Currently the only way is the always_keep_sort option.

Currently the sort time is...you could say 1000 files per second.
