NTFS Allocation unit size limit of 64kb ?

Post by biaachmonkie »

I added a new drive and since it was going to store only videos, I tried increasing the allocation unit size when I formatted it. I then found it wasn't being indexed. Win10 gives the option to format with up to 2048kb , but Everything will not index a dirve formatted with 128kb or higher it seems.

Larger than 64k cluster sizes was added to a recent Windows 10 update.

This issue has been fixed in Everything 889.

Please try Everything 889 or later.
