Property for Indexed Server

Hello

Using the Everythingserver and the Index is bounded to a Everything Client PC.

The search ist showing the real Drive, Which Property shows the Indexed Servername?
Can you map the path to an UNC-Path like in ETP-Server as \\server\c$ or so?

I recommend setting up remapping on the server side. (you can also set remapping on the client side):

• In Everything 1.5, from the Tools menu, click Options.
• Click the Everything Server tab on the left.
• Under Include only, click Add....
• Set the Path to the local server path, for example: D:\share
• Set the Remap to the network share, for example: \\server\share
• Click OK.
• Click OK.
  clients will now see files as \\server\share\...

I have on my TODO list to add a property to show the network index host name.

But now there is a new problem.

The server indexed a networkshare by a NAS as folder like 192.x.y.z.

Assigning your Tip the path \\192.x.y.z only appears on the Everything server itself.

On the Client it disappeared from index. The Remapping applies only to local drives?

No Mapping i configured like \\192.x.y.z (empty or mapped to \\192.x.y.z) change the behavior.

Only items in Tools -> Options -> Everything Server -> Include Only are available to the client.
If the Include Only list is empty, all items are available to the client.


In Tools -> Options -> Everything Server -> Include Only,
Please try including each share on 192.x.y.z

For example:

Path: \\192.x.y.z\share
Remap to:
(leave Remap to blank)

I only entered \\192.x.y.z and not the share.
