Help with uninstall

Post by sunblues »

Hello,

I tried out Everything today but it wasn''t quite what I was looking for so I uninstalled it. But now when I right click on a folder or anything else Everything still shows up in the menu as a search option. When I click on it it says the program can't be found. How do I get rid off it from the menu?

Thanks!

To manually remove the Search Everything folder context menu:
  • From the Start menu, search for:
    regedit
  • Click Registry Editor.
  • In the Registry Editor, delete the following keys:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\Search Everything...
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell\Search Everything...
-or-
  • Run the portable version of Everything
  • In Everything, from the Tools menu click Options.
  • Click the General tab on the left.
  • Uncheck Show Search Everything folder context menu item.
  • Click OK.
  • In Everything, from the File menu click Exit.
  • Delete the portable version of Everything.
