Lets start with a standard search: I enter a search pattern. Everything shows the results. Good.
Now I enter just another search pattern. It works. Good
But when I want to see the result list of the previous search I have to re-enter the (possibly long, complicated) previous search pattern again.
I would appreciate to have a new menu "previous/last" sub menu (below "view") to let Everything remember and re-show these results much more quickly.
Can this be added in the next release?
Thank you
Peter
Feature Request: Add menu 'previous/last' search WITHOUT Bookmarking
Re: Feature Request: Add menu 'previous/last' search WITHOUT Bookmarking
Why ?
You already have the search history by using the drop down arrow in the search field.

Re: Feature Request: Add menu 'previous/last' search WITHOUT Bookmarking
ok, thank you for the answers.
However the History feature is not satisfying.
1.) I want to keep the history not for a number of days but until I exit Everything. At exit is should be auto-cleared
In addition an option to keep only the last X (e.g.3) history entries would be useful as well.
2.) I already have to remember approx.2134124 key combinations for 37467 programs.
Having to remember a 2134125th key combination for go prev. (ALT + arrow left) is too user unfriendly.
Can a menu be added as I suggested in the first post?
3.) Similarly having to press ENTER to add a search to history is too complicated.
Most probably I will forget this intermediate step.
Can a search pattern be automatically added to history whenever I (double) click on a result line (file or folder)?
Thank you
