Scanning of pendrive problem

Post by Thy Grand Voidinesss »

I have a 256 GB USB flash drive which is shown in Disk Management of Windows as being exFAT. And despite having selected

Tools > Options > Indexes > FAT > Automatically include new fixed volumes
Tools > Options > Indexes > FAT > Automatically include new removable volumes
Tools > Options > Indexes > FAT > Attempt to monitor changes

it was not monitored properly - i.e. I had some older items from it already listed in Everything but not the newest ones after connecting it. And after selecting precisely this drive [with one volume] and hitting Rescan Now button, Everything went slowly through an attempt of also scanning 3 other removable FAT drives [as if I had hit the Rescan All Now button]. And on top of that, among those other drives is a card inside a photo camera which apparently is being monitored in real time whenever I connect it, as my tests have shown

In other words: with one pendrive Everything has an obvious problem - while with a card it has zero issues

Should I take that pendrive which has USB-C connector / protocol and do some tests? With Debug turned on?

I am using Everything 1.5.0.1351a x64 Portable on Windows 10 Enterprise 20H2 x64
