About Shift+Right click menu

Post by vsub »

When I shift+right click on a file,I see an extra menu that shows the file containing the folder and the sub menu contains usefull features
My question is,is it possible to make that menu always visible instead of having to hold shift while right clicking

Sometimes I want to Omit a parent folder that contains the item I am right clicking and the only way is by holding shift
I can't think of a reason why would I not want to have that menu always visible so I was wondering if I can make it always visible

(
There is stuff like:

context_menu_omit_results=2
context_menu_temp_omit_results=2

Now, no idea what the 2 does, or what a 1 or 0 might do, but you might mess around with that & see what might happen?

Under Options > Advanced:

- In the Show settings containing: field, type parent
- Select context_menu_parent_folder
- Set its value to: Show

can't think of a reason why would I not want to have that menu always visible
For example: Cleaner looks. Getting options that are seldomly used out of the way/out of sight, while still easily accessible.

No idea why it was showing a number instead of text(it was set on 4)but when I set it to Show,I can see the meny now
I have never changed that option before
Maybe 4 means "Show on Shift"

Indeed:
context_menu_parent_folder

Show the parent folders context menu item.

Can be one of the following:

0 = Never show.
1 = Always Show.
2 = System default. (default)
3 = Show on Shift key down.
4 = System default. (legacy value, the same as 2)
