Time for beta?
Time for beta?
I've been using the alpha for a while and it seems like crashes never happen anymore. It's much faster than 1.4 so I greatly prefer it. You should consider upgrading it to a beta and posting it on the downloads page.
Re: Time for beta?
Like fine wine, there is no beta before its time.
If you're in a hurry, you can always use the current Alpha & be happy with it, like many others are .
(PS: Current 1282 alpha does crash.)

Re: Time for beta?
Thank you for your feedback lifu,
Everything 1.5 is still a long way from beta/release.
There's still stability issues and UI features that are still in development.
If you find Everything 1.5 stable for your use case, please consider replacing your Everything 1.4 installation with Everything 1.5a.

Re: Time for beta?
I find it surprising that it's still considered less stable than Everything 1.4, considering Everything 1.4 seemed to crash a lot more than the latest alpha of 1.5 does now. I encourage you to change your mind, because it's such a vast improvement that it shouldn't be relegated to a subforum. At the very least, publishing the alphas on the website would be good. But at the end of the day, it's your call, so I'll just leave it at that.
