I'm trying to move everything from one computer to an external hard drive. I think that's done but I'd like to test it by comparing one hard drive's contents vs another. I just did a search in Everything and the C: has 44K jpg's while the F: has 41K. I'm hoping the difference is irrelevant files but I don't know how to compare them.
Is there a way I can export these lists to Excel so I can quickly go through them? Or is there another program that would be more conducive to this kinda work?
is there a way to export the results to an excel file?
Re: is there a way to export the results to an excel file?
Use a csv export.
Excel has no problems to handle such files.
Using 2 text file exports any diff tool will show you the culprint.
Just ensure that both files are sorted by the same criteria.
