- There's an option in Windows to show the NTFS compressed or encrypted files in blue or green, I wish Everything can follow this to show them in color either.
- When the grammar keywords are input into the search box, it can be also colored to mention the user it's a keyword, which looks like this:
quot:blahblahblah quot:
regex:[0-9]
Show The Files and Search With Color
Show The Files and Search With Color
Re: Show The Files and Search With Color
Added to my TODO list. There's an option in Windows to show the NTFS compressed or encrypted files in blue or green, I wish Everything can follow this to show them in color either.
The main reason this wasn't added earlier is because Everything doesn't index this information.
It's still possible to do this, but it will require gathering the attributes of the displayed files / folders.
This can take some time, so the text may display normally before it changes to blue / green after the attributes have been cached.
This changing of color might not be ideal. However, with the addition of attribute indexing in Everything 1.4, showing the compressed or encrypted color would be useful.
I'll consider search syntax highlighting. When the grammar keywords are input into the search box, it can be also colored to mention the user it's a keyword, which looks like this:
Thanks for the suggestions.
